PCEA 2006

Welcome Note

The organization and our chapters are in a transition period. We are all busy with work and may find it hard to give time to the organization. At the convention we spent time discussing how to better support each chapter from the national level. How chapters can better support our members. How do we continue to grow our membership as well as how do we retain our membership. We discussed participation by our members. We talked about passion for the organization. These ideas where discussed throughout the seminars and at many of the events.

The breakfast round table discussion held Friday morning focused on a brainstorming session aimed at the growth of our chapters and organization. All that attended provided valuable insights into where we have been and how to take it to the next level. I would encourage all that are associated with their chapters’ board and officers to brainstorm with their perspective chapter.

As we all learned we have a challenge ahead of us. How do we retain each member and how do we continue to grow our membership. I would ask that each of you take on one challenge, bring in just one new member this year. I will be asking your national board to under take several challenges with me. I’m not big on campaign promises but we need to reach 90% retention and add 15% new members. This is the goal that I have set for this year’s board.

I hope all of you have a great summer. I wish all of the new chapter officers’ luck and gratitude for their dedication to serve all of us.

God bless

Sincerely

Chuck Sauls
National President
